Information for Guests of the Academic Graduation Ceremony

We are delighted to have you join us for this special celebration. Please read the key information below:

Venue: The Main Ceremonial Hall, University of Vienna, Universitätsring 1, 1010 Vienna

Arrival:

·  Subway: Line U2, Station Schottentor

·  Tram: Lines 1, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 71, D

·  By car: two parking options nearby – APCOA Parkhaus Rathaus & Freyung Parkgarage

Entry:
• Starts 1 hour before the ceremony starts
• Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to take your seat stress-free
• The Main Ceremonial Hall is located on the 1st floor – accessible via the main entrance. Just follow the signage system.

• Wheelchair-accessible entrance: use the right side entrance of the building [map].

Attire & Cloackroom:
• Dresscode: Dress code: Festive, to match the importance of the occasion.
• Cloakroom: Coat check available for jackets, bags and presents.

Seating & Duration:
• Seats were pre-reserved online by the graduates.
• Your assigned seat (row and seat number) is on your digital ticket. Seat numbers can be found on the armrests of the chairs.
• The ceremony will last about 1 hour.

Photos:
• A professional photographer will be on-site. You can order photos online after the ceremony. Photos
• Personal photos are allowed only from your seat.

Sparkling wine reception:
• Immediately after the ceremony, we invite you to a reception in the Small Ceremonial Hall (or in the Arcaded Courtyard during warmer months).
• Graduates can book the reception in advance: Reservation

Language & Livestream:
• The ceremony will be conducted in German.
• If you cannot attend in person, we offer you a livestream: Watch the livestream
